A new industry survey capturing the perspectives of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and contract manufacturers (CMs) on reshoring and domestic supply chain sourcing is set to be released this April in a joint project between the Reshoring Initiative® and Regions Recruiting®.
The U.S. has shifted from producing the lion’s share of the world’s goods to now relying heavily on imports. In the mid to late 1940s America produced half of the world’s manufacturing output, much higher than the 28% that China produces today.
